7 Benefits Of Pink Himalayan Salt
Like some of you, I began making strides towards a healthier holistic lifestyle. It has been a ten year journey for me. I started to pay more attention to my options on the grocery store shelves, after I became a mom.
After finding the benefits of pink Himalayan salt and with curiosity from all of the health information I had been reading, I began asking questions like…. why should I choose this product over that one?
Why does this product cost more than that one, etc.?
I wondered, do I just stay in my comfort zone and buy what my mother and grandmother bought?
As it relates to salt, I decided to do more research into the matter, especially since it surrounds so much controversy with recommendations to reduce salt intake, due to health related conditions, such as high blood pressure, stroke, and diabetes.
Based on government standards, many doctors recommend their patients “limit their intake of salt to 2,300 milligrams, less than 1,500 mg if you’re African American or 51 and older, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.”
Actually, much of the sodium many people consume daily comes from processed, packaged, and/or fast food. It is often believed that salt is causing the epidemic rates of heart disease and health related issues, or could it be the wrong kind of salt their patients are using?
Table salt is not beneficial and can be harmful. It is cooked to a very high temperature, destroying its natural minerals. Table salt can build up in the organs and tissues, as a toxic substance?
On the other hand Pure Himalayan Salt, also called “Pink Salt” is referred to as, “the purest salt in the world” and comes from the heart of the Himalayan Mountains; where it has been covered and protected from contaminating pollutants.
It contains natural hues of pink, red, and white, which is indicative of its rich mineral content.

You will typically use less pink salt than table salt, because it is not processed into fine grounds like table salt, so a little sprinkle on your food goes a longer way.

Because of its high mineral content, pink sea salt can be added to a foot or bath to soak tired achy muscles. It is very relaxing.
6. Tenderize Meat
Instead of using chemically laced meat tenderizers to tenderize your meat…soak it in a salt water brine for 12-48 hours for fork tender succulent meat.

The major benefit of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt is… its rich mineral content, therefore you don’t have to worry about getting your necessary iodine that is added to table salt. Pink Salt is easily eliminated from the body and does not retain water like table salt.
Table salt can cause an unsafe rise in blood pressure and contribute to heart disease. Significantly, reduce the amount of processed and precooked foods you consume, because they often contain processed and refined salt that can lead to health related problems.
